Red Bumps On Genital Area, Sexually Active. First Came Thrush, Then Spots. Possible Reasons?

Hi, I'm looking to find out whether I should be concerned about 2 red bumps on my genitals region. One is on my testicle sack which feels hard and pink and the other is on my penis shaft. The one on my testicles appeared after I applied jock itch cream a few weeks ago. It seems to be some sort of leftover spot, which is not causing me any major trouble right now except to what it might be. The one on my penis I believe is an infected follicle after plucking some hairs a few days before, its soft and pink with no head. Although this appeared over night, What concerns me is that I have been sexual active (mainly unprotected as well). This has all occurred from the 2 months point into a relationship. First came thrush which doesn't seem to have come from my partner and then the spots. Any idea?

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have sebaceous cysts in a stage of induration .

However final diagnosis can be confirmed only on clinical examination by a qualified general surgeon.

The scrotal and penile skin is rich in sebaceous glands and hence prone to get more sebaceous cyst due to accumulation of sebum beneath the skin.

Normally they fade away without treatment however they need to be treated if increase in size or get infected.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily for a week..

If they do not get cured you may need to get it excised under local anaesthesia.

Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical evaluation and further trea
