Red Circles On Head Of Penis, Sexually Active. What Could This Be?
I'm not sure if I have a yeast infection or herpes. I have 2-3 small red circles on the head of my penis, no pain or discomfort or anything like that. Just look out of the ordinary and have me worried. I have tried a couple different antifungal creams and even monistat 7 but nothing seems to make a difference. I don't have any of the other symptoms associated with herpes or a yeast infection. Sexually wise I don't think it's a very high possibility of herpes just based on my partners. I am in college and can't really let my parents know i'm going to get a STD test. I'm looking for some advice. Thanks
It seems that you may be having candidal balanoposthitis. It is caused by fungus Candida albicans. It may be precipitated by poor hygiene,DM,HIV,poor immunity due to other causes. It is a contagious disease and may be transmitted by sexual intercourse. You consult dermatologist or perfect diagnosis. Antifungal like itroconazole or ketoconazole may be taken for two weeks. If there is secondary bacterial infection, you may take antibiotics. Apply antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream.. Take a Sitz bath in dettol containing water yo improve hygiene. Have healthy diet to improve immunity. I hope you got my answer. Thanks.
