Red Eyelid, Sticky, White Discharge. Tried Hot Compress, Antibiotics. What To Do?

hi i have a very red eye lid, on the upper and lower margin of one eye. I have tried hot compresses, antibiotics topical and oral (doxycyline) - ive tried numerous supplements including fish oils, flaxseed, multivitamins, even chinese herbs, i cant seem to get rid of the infection and my eye is often uncomfortable, as the one lid seems slightly sticky also…im just wondering if you have an opinion. i do get some discharge, but not too much and its white in color.. its driving me absolutely mental, ive put up with it for the last 5 years and have some days which its tollerable and then others like today where its not.

its really embarrassing have a red eye all the time.

Hi thanks for asking and trust, after reading your problem i want to say this could be due to allergy or eye infection. So just avoid dusty place, use glasses . Now ! Take anti allergy pill twice a day. Then use antibiotical eye drop and along with this take steroidal eye drop too. if later problem persist do consult with opthalmologist for further diagnose. Be safe take care. Bye.
