After reading your clinical history i suppose that the tongue lesions formed is secondary to pneumonia, other than this it can be due to stress, nutritional deficiencies,trauma, beningn neoplasms.
I would suggest you to visit the Dentist and get the checkup done, take an biopsy test if required.
Take multivitamin tablets.
Use lukewarm saline rinses and antiseptic mouthwash gargles.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.

Pneumonia is inflammation of lungs and it can be bacterial or viral .

Tongue lesions can be a secondary oral signs of pneumonia.other reasons include stress ulcers which are long standing and painful, apthous ulcers, traumatic ulcers especially seen on sides on tongue.

Red flat lesion on tongue in the elderly group people usually associated with smoking can be Erythroplakia.

such lesions often show malignancy. do no panic but consult your doctor as soon as possible as such lesions should not be ignored.

mean time maintain good oral hygiene.rinse your mouth with lukewarm salt water, apply topical numbing agents over the lesion

The red lesions may be aphthous ulcers type.
The ulcers are arised due to-
Vitamin deficiencies.
Anxiety and stressful works.
Poor oral hygiene.
Hormonal disturbances.
I would advice you to maintain good oral hygiene.
Take plenty of fruits and nutritious rich diet.
Avoid anxiety as well as stressful jobs.
Vitamin becosules and iron supplements has to be taken.
