Red, Itchy, Burn-dry Patches Between Legs And Behind Knees. Discolored Skin With White Spots After Using Canesten Cream. Help

Hi, my daughter has red patches between legs and behind knees. It started last year and I thought is a fungal infection, used canesten crème…and the condition stopped leaving the skin decoloured, white spots. Now, it started again, and it gets worse especially after coming from the swimming pool, skin is red, itchy and looks like a burn- dry skin. I have applied the canesten but doesn’t seem to get better

Welcome to Healthcare Magic,

As per your query you applied canesten cream over the reddish affected area of your daughter's skin. This left over discolored skin with white spots. Presently she has the same kind of problem.
Now most of the times whenever any skin condition heals it leaves a hyper or hypo pigmentation over the affected areas. When the cream part is applied in higher amount then it is more prone to cause the type of problem which you described. This problem will resolve by itself and you need not to do anything for this problem.
Presently despite applying the antifungal cream the spots are not going, so it means the condition might be different from fungal infection. SO it is better to consult a dermatologist for the best guidance.
