Red, Itchy Rashes At Bottom Of Buttocks And Vagina, Whitish Discharge. Little Relief From Vagasil. Advice

I have.. well i don't even know what to call it, but Im assuming that it is some kind of rash. and Its in a very VERY uncomfortable place. Its kind of at the bottom of my buttocks and kind of on the bottom sides of my vagina. Its really itchy almost all the time. and sometimes its red. So i thought I could "cure" this with vagasil, because I assumed it was just an itch that would go away.. but that only helped for a bit, because its still there. I also have a slight i guess discharge thats white-ish. I dont want to jump to any conclusions or "self-medicate", so I really am just desperate for some answers here. Its effecting my everyday life and im FRUSTRATED. :/

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description it seems that you are having vulvovaginitis. A superadded bacterial infection is also likely. This needs oral antibiotics as well as a local treatment for proper treatment.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Rakhi-Tayal
