Understanding your concern. As per your query red patch and brown spots on face is hyper pigmentation (melasma) of skin. it could be due to chemical reaction and sun burn. I would suggest you to :
-Avoid oily and fried food.
-Hydroquinone cream will also very effective in decreasing pigment .
-Protect your skin from sun exposure and use sunscreen with SPF 50.
-Apply tertenoin gel or cream which will help to remove dead skin.
-You can also apply butter milk with cotton and wash it with water twice a day .
-Drink plenty of water and eat fresh green leafy vegetable.
If condition persists for more then few weeks then consult dermatologist. Doctor may suggest for chemical peeling .
