Red Strings In Stool. Ate Fast Food. Is That The Cause?
I just passed a probably 3 inch reddish tinted string in my loose stool , bowel habits have not recently changed, maybe a little more frequent. I have however had a change in diet as these past few weeks; throughout work and a few family emergencies I have not had a chance to eat anything but fast food. Is this something I should be concerned about? No stomach pain, no bloating , and no white in stool to indicate a parasite.
Hello sdtaylor30,
It is probably nothing, one time reddish tinted string in stool may be anything from your diet.
But most of the serious illness associated with colon are symptomless.
And people always dont have the habit of looking on there stools so they miss much.
You should avoid taking fast foods and try add plenty of fibers to your diet. Have lots of vegetables and adequate water.
It is always better to consult a surgeon and get examined for any changes in rectum.
I am not trying to scare you here but it is better be early.
bye
