Reddish Purple Lump At The Back. Getting Bigger, Painful. What Could It Be?
I woke up Monday with a lump on my back which is redish purple around my waist area. it is very painful. I thought it was a spider bite at first but I don't have any spiders in my house that I have seen. It seems like it is getting bigger and more painful every day. I know people who have similar problems and it is not good. I don't know if this is a cyst or tumor or bactorial infection. I will see a doctor in the next couple of days.
Thanks for query on HCM. Most likely it is bacterial infection of the hair roots, gradually increasing and involving other hair roots. You have to take proper antibiotic like amoxy/clav to subside infection and nsaid to subside pain and inflammation. Clean it properly with anti septic liquid and apply local antibiotic cream like fusidic acid. Take proper local care.avoid tight clothing. Consult your family physician for better medical management.
