Back Pain, Lump On The Back. What Is It?

I was carrying very heavy bags over the course of 3 days a week ago and I thought my back pain was caused by that but tonight I reached back to where my pain was coming from on my right flank side on my back and there is a very large painful mass that makes me want to throw up when I press it. My back actually feels swollen and throbs.

Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
Pain and swilling over right flank could be muscular in origin or due to liver , ureter, intestine or renal in origin. As it is tender (painful to touch) , there is chance of infection of these. So I suggest you to get it evaluated by a physician and definitive treatment according to that.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum.
Thanks for choosing H.C.M.Forum.
You have carried heavy weights for 3 days one week ago. You had pain and large mass on the back, in the right flanks. when you press there, you got vomiting sensation.
If there is a mass it should be a swelling due to friction of the weights. if the mass is a feeling it could be some thing concerned with back bone and ribs, or may be related to uriter, or kidney infection, or a stone.
I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I, besides other routine tests for diagnosis and treatment.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
Best regards.
