Redness And Swelling In Penis. Genital Warts. Had Unsafe Sex. What Is Going On?

Hi, I contracted genital warts of a ex partner 2 years ago, I ended up going to the sexual health clinic and got them frozen of. Well I have now got a new partner, have been with him for over a month and we do have unprotected sex, recently he has been complaining of having a slightly red area on the tip of his penis going down to the skin at the back of his penis, he says it doesn't bother him, that it doesn't hurt when he urinates and there is no lumps or warts, it is just abit red and slightly swollen, have I give him genital warts?

Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
After reading your query I would like to tell you that the possibility of warts is negligible. Now regrading the possibility of warts, you have had these 2 years ago and got treated. Now after 2 years if the virus was present then you would definitely have had recurrence. As per your history there is no suggestive part of recurrence after that episode. So you should not be worried about the things which are not present. As your partner also is not bothered about the slight red and swollen thing so can be part of normal glans skin.
I advice you to relieve your tensions regarding warts. To guide you about warts also, these are simple viral infections which are well treatable and you yourself got successful treatment of it. So even if we consider the possibility you should not be panicky.
Have a healthy life ahead,
