Regular Drinker. Saw Camera Flashes In Eyes, Hit The Floor. Due To Drinking Or Mini Stroke?
My mom is 50. She drinks regularly beer. she is in pretty good health. tonight while drinking she experienced something and believes it wasn't the alcohol. she was standing looking around and seen bright like camera flashes in her eyes and hit the floor. she didn't try to catch herself no bending at knees or waste just straight back. when she came to she asked what happened. Can you help to see if it was cause she was drunk or do you think she may have had a mini stroke or something?
If she isn't a heavy drinker and never experienced such a situation, a neurological problem cannot be ruled out. She needs to consult a neurologist and explain the exact sequence of events and get a clinical examination done. You might ask those who were around her to help reconstruct events leading to her fall and subsequent incidents. The doctor may decide to do CT or MRI scan of brain and carotid Doppler investigations to look for any problems relating to blood supply to the brain.
Hope this helps
