Hi,
It is a possibility that you have developed a haematoma which is a collection of blood in the scrotal sac after the surgery. It is unlikely to be a recollection of hydrocoele again. What the surgeon can attempt now is place a drain in the scrotum, and wait for a few days, and if you wear scrotal support, the pain should be less, and the drain will ensure no fresh fluid accumulates. Once the surgeon feels there is no fresh collection, he can remove the drain. You might have a swelling of right side of scrotum for several months, but it is usual. However, if there is persistent drainage or if there is pain or fever, it might be a better idea to re-explore and ensure there is no bleeding blood vessel inside.
Hope I have been able to help you.
