Reports Show Hiatus Hernia Behind The Heart, Following Dietary Regime, On Reflux Medication, has Skin Cancer. Are These Enough ?

Mum's results describe a hiatus hernia behind the heart and she has had great advice re diet and is taking it and reflux medication. my sister is really concerned that she should seek more tests and believes that Mum is at risk and should seek more intrusive treatment, the surgeon who sees mum on a regular basis for skin cancer and some liver cysts seems to think that all is good if mum keeps up the dietary regime and exercise and medication what are your thoughts please.

Thanks for posting on HCM
Hiatus hernia can be successfully controlled with correct diet & regular anti reflux medications so I feel she is doing right.
If her medications fail to improve symptoms then she needs to see surgeon who may be able to surgically correct hernia.
I hope this helps & wish you all the best for your mum.
