Right Optic Nerve Damaged In Injury,No Vision In Right Eye,developing Squint, optic Nerve Dead
Hi..i had a traumatic injury 3 years back in which my right optic nerve got damaged. I can t see from right eye at all. Since then squint is getting developed in right eye and now its very visible. Please suggest how can i correct it(not vision , that docs said is not possible due to optic nerve not responding; pls note- optic nerve is not broken, its dead)?
hi mohit.
once you receive nerve injury then its irreversible because the neurons are the only cells in the body which donot regenerates however you concern about the squint is that can be corrected at any time when ever you want. its a surgical procedure which involves the strengthening of you lag(weak) muscle of the eye and subsequently its shortening thus keep the eyeball the at its actual position. therefore you should consult an ophthalmic surgeon for your problem and you get solution for it.
thanks
