Rise In BP With Pulse Rate Less Than 55. Started Taking Amlodipin. On Medication For Hypertension And Diabetes. Advice
Hello, thanks for using health care magic You should get examined and reviewed in detail by a cardiologist and get at least the following tests ECG, serum potassium and renal function. Your Bp control is poor due to a lot of variation in the blood pressure. Variations in blood pressure actually leads to complications. Pulse rate less that 55 is not good and implies there is greater effect of carvedilol. Amlodipine is long acting calcium channel blocker and good for maintaining blood pressure within a given limit for a long time. Best regards and hope this helps you. Dr Achuo
