Rise In BP With Pulse Rate Less Than 55. Started Taking Amlodipin. On Medication For Hypertension And Diabetes. Advice

DESEASE: HYPERTENSION AND DIABATIC
MEDICENE 1.LISINOPRIL 10mg TWICE A DAY- FOR ONE MONTH
2. CORVERDILOL 6.3 mg TWICE A DAY DAILY SINCE LAST ONE MONTH.
3. HTZChtzc -12.5 mg
Cther medices are FOR DIABATIC AND CHOLELSROL CONTROL.
RESULT .AVERAGE BP NEVER BECOME LESS THAN 160 Hg
. INCREASED CORVEDILOL TO 9.4mg SINCE LAST 7 DAYS.
EFFECT : BP RISE TO 200/82 IN EVENING AND 125/53 very EARLY MORNING WITH PULSE RATE LESS THAN 55
TO DAY STARTED 1.AMLODIPIN 5 mg AT THE EVENING

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic

You should get examined and reviewed in detail by a cardiologist and get at least the following tests ECG, serum potassium and renal function.

Your Bp control is poor due to a lot of variation in the blood pressure.

Variations in blood pressure actually leads to complications.

Pulse rate less that 55 is not good and implies there is greater effect of

carvedilol.

Amlodipine is long acting calcium channel blocker and good for maintaining

blood pressure within a given limit for a long time.
