Risk Factor For Undergoing Procedure To Put Stintz In Legs To Help Circulation In 70's
Hello! I was wondering what the risk factor was for a person in their 70's that is about to under go a procedure where they are going to put stintz in his leg's to help with the circulation. In the past he has had blood clots pass throught his lungs twice. He has COPD as well as being a heavy smoker. Thank you for your time.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The risk involved in the surgery is same as the risks involved in undergoing anaesthesia. At the age of 70, the cardiac status needs to be evaluated under the guidance of a cardiologist. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
