Rolled Ankle, Unable To Walk, Swelling, Low Body Temperature, Shaking. Treatment?
I rolled my ankle last night and I was walking on it until the pain was Bearable, this was at about 11:00 pm last night so I went to bed and I woke up and the pain was so bad. I can t fully walk on it and it feels like I m going to roll it again. It s very swollen. After I rolled it I felt very sick and my whole body temperature dropped, I felt cold and I was shaking. Should I get this checked out or should I let this heal itself

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query. From description it seems to be soft tissue injury or ligament injury . You need an x-ray to rule out any bony injury. I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.Beside icing and elevating it, you can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
