Hi,
From the description you have given it seems you are having rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis concurrently. Sometimes seborrheic dermatitis can be confused with rosacea. But the same can easily be differentiated by a
dermatologist.
To treat the same you may follow these recommendations
1) use a mild non abrasive cleanser and moisturiser like cetaphil
2) apply sunscreen daily even if staying indoors( SPF 30)
3) to treat dryness over face apply a steroid antifungal cream for few days like Mometasone
clotrimazole combination or
fluticasone clotrimazole combination. But caution has to be exercised in use as prolonged use of this cream may exacerbate rosacea. So use it for not more than week
4) to treat dry flaky scalp
ketoconazole shampoo can be used thrice in a week
5) for rosacea apart from metro gel you may require
benzoyl peroxide gel and a course of oral iso tretinoin to settle raised bumps( papulopustular and nodular lesions)
6) redness and thready veins in rosacea can be tackled with IPL and sessions of mild peels like lactic acid or mandelic acid peels.
Apart from these exercise general precautionary measures like avoid stress, sun exposure, alcohol, hot and spicy foods.
Hope that answers your query. Take care.
