Runny Nose, Coughing, Shaking Legs Of Child. What Is Going On?

hi, my daughter had symptoms of the fifth Diseast after two kids were diagnosed in her nursery. im not sure if she still has it, but now she has runny nose..
is it contagious? becasue my son has started caughing, stuffy nose and today his legs were shaking.. so not sure what is going on... just noticed all the sympotoms..

Hi,

Fifth disease is a viral fever with rash.To begin with the kids get flu-like symptoms followed by the slapped cheeks rash.This infection settled down in a 10-15 days.

Since there were other kids in the nursery with this disease it is likely that both your kids have got infected with this illness due to high contagious nature of this virus.

I would advise you to give them Antipyretics for fever and keep them well hydrated .Also get them examined by their doctor for final diagnosis.
