Scabbing Around The Cystic Acne Due To Scabbing. How Can I Prevent The Surrounding Area From Getting Dark?
I picked at a cyctic acne with a needle to attempt and extract something to relieve the pressure. Nothing helped and the area of the pimple and surrounding has scabbed up because of my attempt of squeezing. I know it ll take time to heal. But I was able to remove the dark skin forming around. It s tender and I know it will turn dark again. Is there any way I can prevent this. It s easier to cover up a little red skin than the brownish colour of a scab.
Please avoid handling your skin let alone prick it with a needle!
The marks you will leave behind will be ugly & will be pigmented if such handling occurs.
Please try to use a good cleanser for acne...Neutrogena deep pore cleanser or Sebium form Bioderma are two good cleansers.
You may steam your face lightly followed by the cleansing & toning routine.
Locally, try using 1% Adapalene gel if it is a single lesion you are describing.
If multiple cystic acne, then systemic isotretinoin therapy is the way forward with due precautions, blood tests & preventive measures as per the protocol.
Cheers & wish you a clear countenance soon!
