Scabies. Rashes On Wrists, Back, Fingers And Groin. Advised Triamcinolone Cream. Burning While Urination. Concern?

My son had scabies back in July, the rash was on his wrists, back, fingers and groin. He was treated by a doctor with a cream, and it went away. The itching in the groin area would come back just itching. Doctor prescribed Triamcinolone Cream .1% and this gave him relief. The only time he seemed to be bothered was at night when he went to bed. He is 16. He wanted another doctor to examine him because the itching kept coming back she prescribed Fluocinolone.025%, after one application his groin was red, burning and blistering. Took him back and now she tells him he has herpes. He is miserable, and has a steady girlfriend and we are waiting for a blood test result. The doctor told him, with me there, on the first visit, that it was just irritation and was absolutely not herpes. Now he is having trouble urinating, because it feels like razor blades. We have another appt. tomorrow, but I don t know if we need to go to the emergency room.

Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your son has maltreated fungal infection .

It can not be Herpes infection as herpes is normally transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse.

Please take anti fungal medications like Fluconozole orally twice daily along with topical anti fungal ointmnet Fluconozole twice daily for local application over affected area.

Ensure to wash the entire area with warm water twice daily before applying ointment.

I think it should get cured within a week.
