what is transitional type vertebra with disc desiccation at L5-s1 disc level. and there is central disc protrusion at l5-s1 effacing the thecal sac without central canal stenosis. is associated with moderate narrowing of the left neutral foramen and mild narrowing of the right neural foramen. I am 5'4" 155 and 49 years old.
This summarily means that the vertebral canal (hole that passes through the vertebrae all along towards the base,) in the lumbar and sacral regions, especially the 5th and lumbar and 1st sacral vertebrae is narrow. Generally associated with pain or some neurologic symptoms.
I suggest you consult a neurosurgeon for an opinion.
Thanks and kind regards,
Bain LE, MD.
