Sciatic Nerve Pain In Buttock After Falling On Ice. No Relief With Muscle Relaxers For Shooting Pain In Thigh

I fell 2 weeks ago on the ice and have since had sciatic nerve pain in my left buttock that goes down to my left knee. I have also since have shooting, sharp pain in my upper right thigh in the front when I try to get up or turn over in bed. I have been to the dr. and have had the rounds of IBU and muscle relaxers, and have a follow up tomorrow, but what do you think is a good place to go from here? I don t want to be blown off as it will go away.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some problem in your lumbo-sacral spines giving you this problem.
Consult spine specialist or orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
X-ray lumbo-sacral region will give good clue about your problem.
Meanwhile do back extension exercise.
Avoid lifting heavy weight.
Ok and take care.
