Sebaceous Cysts On Back And Shoulder Blade. Redness, Pain, Tender To Touch. Shingles In Armpit. What To Do?
I have a group of sebaceous cysts on my back at and around my left shoulder blade. The one on top of the blade has turned red and i am experiancing pain, tender to the touch, it is the size of a golf ball, i have an apointment on this coming tuesday to remove themare there any health issues that i need to worry about. I have also developed a case of shingles in my left armpit, what can i do to ease that problem...:(
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Treatment is as follow , Incision=Avulsion, local anesthesia is used to remove cyst ,incision is made and avulsed. If inflammation has occurred than , wall of cyst is defined and remove intact. If intact cyst is not removed than recurrence is probable. For shingles ,you have to take antibiotics. Consult a surgeon and his opinion is the best way to deal. Good luck. Dr. HET
