Seminal Fluid Analysis. What Do Terms Such As Liquefaction And Volume Denote?
Dear sir i would ask you about my Seminal fluid analysis which results is at 19/9/2012: 1- Volume = 2.4ml 2- PH = 8 3- Liquefaction = 25min 4- Concentration =95 5- Total Sperm count = 228 6- White Blood cells = 2-4 /hpf 7- Rapid progression = 50% 8- Normal norphology = 65% before that i made the test at 19/7/2011 the result was 1- 1- Volume = 4 ml 2- PH = 8 3- Liquefaction = 23min 4- Concentration =25.7 5- Total Sperm count = 102.8 6- White Blood cells = 4-6 /hpf 7- Rapid progression = 35% 8- Normal norphology = 55%

Hi, first of all, liquefaction time denotes the motility of the sperm. And absence of any clamping.
Coming to your report , the amount, reaction, count, motility all are within normal limit. But, the morphology is abnormal .
The report is improved from the previous.
Hi dear Thanks for your question,The your semen analysis seems absolutely normal except for the fact that you have not mentioned the unit of total sperm count.what do you mean by total count 228,if it mean 22.8 million ,then it is normal,if it is 2.28 million ,then it is low similarly your previous reading if it is 10.28 million ,then it is again normal.volume means total amount of fluid one ejaculates at one time and 2.5 to 4 ml is normal.Liquefaction time is described as Semen is a thick gel at the time of ejaculation and normally becomes liquid within 20 minutes after ejaculation. Liquefaction time is a measure of the time it takes for the semen to liquefy.20-30 minutes after collection An abnormally long liquefaction time is indicate an infection. There should be white blood cell,if present means infection
