Sensitive Knots Under Brow That Are Tender. Had Plucked Eyebrows Few Days Back. Cause?
Hello, I plucked my eyebrows two days ago, woke up the night after with sensitive knots under my brow, matching on both sides. They are tender and look like mosquito bites but aren t itchy, not red just swollen: concerning me because this is the 3rd day. Very tender and bothersome. Hope you can help (been tweezing for years and never have had this before) YYYY@YYYY
hi..Thanks for your query.
Several people ,after threading/ plucking/waxing eye brows develop this acute rash for sometime. They are red, itchy and look like some mosquito bite s under the eye brows. However , there is nothing to worry about. These hives can be prevented by taking an oral anti-histaminic , like Tab.Allegra about an hour before you do the procedure.Do keep a mild steroid , like Hydrocortosone cream while you do it and apply it once after the procedure is done.If still you have them , you can use the steroid on the affected areas for 1-2 more days.
Hope this helps..Take care!
