Severe Abdominal Pain, Delayed Periods With Heavy Bleeding For Half A Day. Have Heterogeneous Echotexture Uterine Fibroid. Miscarriage?
Hi I'm wondering if I have just had a miscarriage or if the pain I am experiencing is simply and only from my heterogeneous echotexture uterine fibroid. I just left from the hospital because of severe abdominal pain. My period normally comes around the 28th-31st day but this time it didn't come for 45 days and I was bleeding down my leg to start. The doctor said, he would not refer to this as a period. It lasted for about a day in half. This had never happen before, then the severe piercing pain off and on in my abdomen. The transvaginal ultrasoundI am 48 years of age and my period comes regularly.
Hi, Thanks for the query. You didn't clearly mentioned your transvaginal ultrasound findings. If there was no gestational sac or signs of pregnancy in the ultrasound, then the possibility of the pregnancy is very less. The bleeding you are having could be due to some other cause like the fibroids you mentioned. Take tablets to stop the bleeding, then with your doctor's advice you can go for treatment to cure the cause. Take care.
