Severe Aortic Stenosis. Advised Pulmonary Valve Replacement. Stabbing Pain In The Heart. Matter Of Concern?
my husband has sever aortic stenosis and has been told he needs a pulmonary valve replacement but is not even on a waiting list as yet, he has been getting a sharp stabbing pain in his heart and has mentioned this to 3 health care professionals but none seem concerned, is it something to worry about as it most certainly worries him.
thank you.
i am so sad for your husbands condition.
the pain may occur due to aortic stenosis itself or it may be associated with ischemic heart disease.
aortic valve replacement is needed in symptomatic case.
before operation it is mandatory to do angiogram to exclude coronary artery disease.
now, the question about the pulmonary valve replacement.
why it is needed?
is there associated valvular problem?
all inv. report is needed to check before giving a comment.
take care.
