Severe Bloating After Meals, Itching All Over Body. What Could It Be?

I am experiencing severe bloating after meals in the upper left abdominal area. Also very tender in the lower left abdominal area. Without tests, doctor thought it was an ulcer and diverticulitis. I also am experiencing itchy skin all over that I failed to mention to the doctor. Is this a common symptom or could it be something entirely different than what was diagnosed?
