Severe Chest Pain Leading To Anxiety. Is My Heart In Trouble?
I am 15 years old, and for the past couple of months I have been having severe anxiety because I have been experiencing severe chest pains. I am not overweight , not diabetic, or have had any health issues in the past. I play lots of sports and rarely eat fast food. So what could be the cause I my intense chest pain? Is it just gas, or heart burn , or could there be something seriously wrong with my heart?
Since you have been playing lots of sports, sometimes overactivity can cause muscular pains in the chest which are quite severe. Any pain which is related to heart increases when you exercise and decreases when you rest, whereas muscular pain is continuous and releived by pain killers. Also if you have tendency for acidity or gas , heart burn could happen which is releived by antacids.
There is no need to have so much anxiety, visit your nearest family physician get your pulse,BP and ECG done. proper diagnosis and prompt treatment is important rather than getting anxious,as at your age probabiliity of having heart ailment is quite low.
