Severe Constipation After Taking Deplatt For TIA. On Metformin, Ramipril, Doxazosin. Is Piclin A Safe Laxative?
I have recently been prescribed Deplatt 75 for a TIA. But after a couple of doses, I am severely constipated. Is Piclin a safe laxative for me? How frequently should I take the syrup. I am male, 72, and am taking Metformin. I am also taking Ramipril and doxazosin.

Hi,Dear.Yes piclin is a safe laxative for you.if you are using PICLIN 5mg/5ml then take 3 teaspoonful twice a day.Do not take any other medicine prior 1 hour to ingestion of PICLIN syrup.Take it at bed time in night.Drink plenty of water to minimise the side effects.If you are not relieved within 5 days then consult again.Once constipation is relieved reduce dose to 2 tsf in morning only.
