Severe Cough, Not Able To Lose Weight. History Of Pleurisy And Smoking. Advice?

Hello, I have sever issues: I cough to the point of gagging during the mornings and evenings because of loose phlegm, I'm also having trouble gaining weight, but have no problem losing it. In the past i USED to smoke and have had pleurisy and a lung infection within the space of a year on top of that I've had a recent feeling of always being fatigued. I'm just a little worried and would appreciate some advice.

Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have
been known to have Pleurisy.
Looking at the symptoms like loss of appetite, cough, and history of pleurisy, you need to
get following basic investigations done.

1) Routine Haemogram with E.S.R.
2) X-Ray Chest.
3) Sputum Examination for A.F.B.

Please consult qualified Pulmonologist or chest physician to come to diagnose underlying pathology and further treatment.
