Hi i am nihal (dentist) i had high prolactin and hypothyroidism from 8 months and now i am on dostinex but i feel like fatigue and shortness of breath with any min. Effort severe headache and hypotension and gaining weight without any effect from gym to loose weight what can i do to control my weight ??and when expected to stop this drug????? although i did blood test from week i fopund normal prolactine level
hi there, the medication you are taking (dostinex which is carbegoline) is a good medication for controlling high prolactine level. It come from a small benign tumor in the hypophysis. When it is less than 1 cm in diameter, it can be managed with just medication. The doctor should adjust the dose of medication to improve your fatigue. Headache could be related to the size of that mass that will get better with time if your medication dose get adjusted. Best wishes.
