Severe Heart Palpitations, High Pulse Rate, Lack Of Sleep. Causes For Symptoms?

I ve been waking up in the middle of the night, usually closer to morning, and can feel my heart shaking/jumping in my chest and sometimes feels like it is racing, but not every time.....when this happens I immediately check my pulse , and it is always normal. What does this mean, and is it something I need to get checked right away or can I wait until my physical next month?

It could be due to stress/anxiety.However,its always advisable to get one ECG done anytime to ensure there is no underline cardiac problem.
