Severe Hemoptysis. Radiology Report Shows Large Arteries In Right Lobe. No Cause Found From Pulmonary Angiograms, Bronchoscope. Any Other Tests?
My mother has severe hemoptysis. She has had two pulmonary angiograms. They can't find source. Interventional radiology looked in the right lobe today, said arteries are large. What are other options tests, did a bronchoscope as well could not see due to blood. Are there hospitals that specialize in severe lung problems where drs. Do pulmonary angiograms on difficult cases.

I am sorry to hear that your mother is having severe hemoptysis. Pulmonary angiogram will help in finding out the leak of blood and its the best way to see whats going on before opening the lungs.
Yes pulmonary angiograms are done on difficult case as your mother and it will be more helpful then any thing else.
