Severe Hemorrhage Due To Postpartum Endometritis. Heavy Bleeding After Stopping Birth Control Due To Bloating. Any Connections?
hi, I have a 7 week old baby, and a week after he was born I was rushed back to the hospital for severe hemorrhaging from post partum endometritis, after a week of recovering I had my first period after the baby, and now last week I started birth control, I had stopped after 3 days due to extreme cramping and bloating, now this week I have heavy bleeding, bright red blood, and don't know if its endometritis or another period due to stopping birth control
If I were your treating doctor, I would do a thorough clinical examination and a detailed transvaginal ultrasound scan of the uterus. I would want to look at the endometrial thickness and its features to conclude on the endometritis.
In addition, it could be due to stopping the birth pill. Whatever be the reason, you need a thorough evaluation on these lines.
I hope this helps you to take an informed decision and move ahead accordingly.
Wish you the best of health.
