Severe Itching In Fingers, Above Knuckle. Water Blisters And Swelling Formed. High RA. Related?

I get severe itching on my fingers - above the knuckle inside of wrist - occasionally on side of thumb/palm. Water blisters have formed and swelling accompanies it. I have been seeing a neurologist for sever headaches - blood tests show a slightly high elevation of RA. I am on thyroid med .25 and take magnesium at night. I also have RLS. Could there be relation to the fingers with RA - neurologist says no -

Hi

thanks for writing here.

It seems you are suffering from a condition known as vesicular eczema or pompholyx. This is an internal form of eczema. It can be associated with 1.sweaty palms and soles
2.Bacterial infections
3.fungal infections like tinea paedis
4.food allergeis
5.allergeis related to chemicals like soaps, detergents.

There is no association with RA.

You need to find out one of cause for it.

Treatment includes soaking hands in cold water, applying a steroid antibiotic combination taking anti histaminics for itching.Fucibet cream is what i usually prescribe to my pateints .

I hope this can solve your query.Take care.
