Severe Muscle Clenching. Taking Desonide Ointment For Auto Immune Skin Treatment. Side Effects Of Medication?
My Dermatologist prescribed Desonide ointment to treat an auto immune skin condition. Have been experiencing severe muscle clenching (but just on rt. side .. entirety of neck, shoulder & leg). Is it possible I'm allergic to it? Have been using it for a mo. or so. Note: I am "atopic" .. allergic to most antibiotics.
Hi, Welcome to health care magic. Desonide is a steroid medicine that is used in the creams for topical application for inflammatory problems. The drug is mostly very well tolerated and there is hardly any hypersensitivity reaction to this drug. If you are having this problem without any local inflammation or redness or blistering then it is not likely due to hypersensitivity. There may be some other problem that is creating this. For a proper diagnosis, you should review to a local physician and get evaluated for any new onset problem for which you may need to be investigated with Xrays and blood test to get a proper diagnosis. I hope the advise will be helpful for you.
