Severe Pain Above Buttocks, Unable To Sit, Lay On Back, Swelling, Bump. Self Healing?
Last Thursday I woke up with a horrible pain in what I can only describe as the top of my buttcrack. It s especially painful to sit and I cannot lay on my back at all. There is some swelling and a bump but no visible redness. What do I do? Can I let it go away on it s own? 4 Days of this really stinks and it seems to get worse instead of better
Hello Dear
Your problem needs a proper treatment, it is not going to heal by it's own. The bump may be a small abscess, Pilonidal Sinus or a simple cyst. As it is painful and at a site where a small infection can cause much problem to patient.
In my opinion consult your General Surgeon as soon as possible. Your doctor may prescribe you a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs. In rare cases it may need drainage, depending on the problem and clinical examination.
Go through the treatment as soon as possible.
Best Wishes
