Severe Pain, Excessive Bleeding, Clotting During Periods, Pain In Right Ovary. History Of Cancer Cells In Uterus. Treatment?
I am forty years old, over the past six months or so I have been experiencing severe pain and excessive bleeding and clotting during my menstral cycle each month. Should I be concerned, the reason why I am asking this from the age of twenty right up until I was thirty I had cancer cells of the uterus which was treated at that time successfully. I have fears I guess that it has returned, the pain I am experiencing seems to be exactly where my right ovary is located, let me know what you think. Thanks
You are suffering from painful and heavy cycles of recent origin. The cause is most likely of uterine origin. We have to look for any fibroids in uterus. You need an ultrasonogram of abdomen and pelvic to look for any uterine pathology as well as rule out the possibility of right ovarian cyst. Besides, you also need to have blood tests for anemia, thyroid function and bleeding disorders. Owing to you age, symptoms and past history, a fractional curettage for study of tissue inside uterus is essential.
Hello. Welcome to hcm.
As you had history of cancer cells being treated,i advice you to consult your gynaecologist and get all the tests done. Pain can radiate from uterus to other parts of abdomen,so pain is not necessarily from ovary.
All the best
