Severe Pain In Thigh Due To Performing Splits. Reason/
at dance I don't think I warmed up quite enough I was laying strait on the floor and was pulling my left leg to my head I then rolled over into splits and I felt something move in my leg like felt like it felt like it moved out the feeling was very clear and I had unbearable pain I couldn't move ,my teacher eventually helped me lay on my front and a while later I got up But I couldn't walk at all I had a striking pain which made my leg give... It's been 2 days and I can walk with a limp but I still get a lot of pain when moving and walking it hurts at the top of my thy at the back on the inside under my bum its incredibly painful what do you think I have done ?
It sounds like you have "pulled a muscle". This means that you stretched the muscle further than it should have gone, and it is now torn. The good news is that usually this is not a tear that goes all the way through the muscle, and can heal on it's own. Having said that, it would be wise for you to be evaluated by your family doctor, since the pain is so severe. Physical therapy may be helpful in shortening the time needed to heal.
I wish you good health, and thank you for posting on HCM!
