Hi,
Non-specific peritonitis can occur as a reaction of leakage of sterile body fluids like blood into the peritoneal cavity as can happen during a caesarean section. There is no infection to start with but infection can take over and symptoms are manifested within 1 or 2 days. As you are one month postpartum, this can be ruled out. The other cause of this condition is surgery leading to reaction of the body that could lead to fibrotic reaction. You should be monitored for the occurance of any infection, when, active interference is needed. Please discuss with your doctor for further management. Good luck.
