Severe Weight Loss In Few Months. Under Lot Of Stress. Can It Cause Weight Loss?
I am a 24 year old female and in the last two months Ive gone from 135 lbs to 108 lbs. I dont take any medications even OTC and my diet/exercise patterns havent changed at all. Ive been under alot of stress and I know my aunt and grandma maternal have Lupus . I didnt know if stress could cause this? I dont have a butterfly effect indicitive of Lupus. And I have only a history of anemia , insomnia , and migraines.
Severe stress can cause weight loss, however it seems like you have lost a lot of weight in a short period of time, significant enough to raise concerns about any pathological condition you might be having. Please consult with a local doctor and have some basic blood tests done. If everything checks out okay then you have reason to visit with a psychiatrist who can help you deal with your anxiety issues. I hope this helps.
Take care and have a lovely day!
