Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

I understand that your recent symptoms must be quite scary and distressing. From your brief description, it appears that you are most likely having an anxiety disorder, but you need a detailed evaluation to rule out other medical conditions which can cause similar symptoms (like certain forms of seizures).

I would advise you to talk to your parents about this, so that they can they can arrange to take you to a doctor for a detailed evaluation, including a psychological assessment. If it turns out to be an anxiety-related problem, don't worry, there are effective treatment options in the form of medication or psychological therapies, which can control your symptoms.

Best wishes,
Dr. Sheeba Stephen

Hello.........
Thanks for your query. Symptoms like hyperventilation, palpitations, increased sweating are characteristic of anxiety disorder. A thorough psychiatric evaluation is essential which can be followed by anti-anxiety drugs and psychotherapy (cognitive behavioural therapy). Breathing relaxation exercises, yoga, meditation practices and avoiding tea/coffee would be beneficial in your case.
