I have just finished my 18 weeks of chemo for breast cancer. My bloob work is all over the place - some high, some low). I woke up this morning with sharp chest pains that seemed to be radiating from my left chest to my right chest. The pains were sharp, stabbing pains, and it was so painful I could hardly sit up in bed. I called the dr. on call for my oncologist and he thought it best that I go to the ER and have it checked out. And I did. AT the hospital, they ran blood test, an EEG, and a CT. All came back ok. The EEG was perfect, the CTdid not show a blood clot in my lung, and one blood test showed that my heart enzymes had not changed.
So, now I am wondering what was this pain that lasted 6 hours and then went away. Could it be a general chemo side effect from my blood levels being high/low?
Here's an idea of what's low:
WBC 5.5
RBC 2.55
HGB 8.9
