Sharp Pain Down Sides Of Stomach, Above Vagina, Delayed Period, Brown Red Discharge. Pregnant?
Hi, for the past 5 days i have woken up feeling sick to my stomach . All day i will have sharp pains down the sides of my stomach and the area above my vigina. Also i have been getting super bad cramps in my lower back, legs, and stomach. I started my period or so called period 3 days late and today the day it started it was brown and reddish. It smelled super clean though like a new car/ washed clothes smell weird right. I am not sure if i am prego or what?
Chances are very less that you are pregnant with just 3 days delay in periods. Cramps in lower back and legs, besides the stomach indicate congestive dysmenorrhoea (painful periods) and should subside as the bleeding becomes more red and the smell may not be that clean. Still, one cant be 100% sure that its not a pregnancy complication, unless your symptoms subside altogether.
Some amount of dysmenorrhea is common during and also few days before periods.
Severe dysmenorrhea can be seen in case of narrow cervical canal, pelvic inflammatory disease, fibroids etc.
If you are having history of unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation then there is possibility of pregnancy and in that case the scanty flow you had might be implantation bleeding.
To rule out this possibility you better go for blood test for pregnancy which will give accurate result.
Take care.
