Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recovered from the Flu that I had last week. I treated the Flu with Tamiflu , and took some Phernegan, Advil , and Tylenol alternately. I started having a sharp pain in my groin area that felt deep like a bruise . the skin in that area is now red with a rash and there is swelling. I had Hives on my buttock which seems to be clearing up a little. I am not taking any medicine now and haven t for 3 days as I suspect this may be a side effect to all the medicine. I am curious about my sore groin area - any ideas?

Hi It can be a herpes viral infection. and i dont think the rash is due to allergy to medication because if allergy then you should get on all your body parts mostly. You can check a blood antibody test for that.Or PCR from the rash.and can take antiviral medications like acyclovir .Better consult a dermatologist and rule out. thanks
