Sharp Pain In My Upper Gum And Lower Gums On Right Side, Sometimes Over Cheek Bone And Tonsil. No Swelling. Cure?

I have had a history of dental problems but have not had the finances to get dental work done. I am also diabetic. There is a very bad pain that radiates to my temple, a sharp pain in my upper gum on the right side as well as the lower gums with throbbing on the right side. At times it feels like the pain is experienced over my cheek bone and to my tonsil. There is no heat or swelling. Just pain.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

According to your symptoms i suspect that pain in the gum can be due to inflammation,it can also be because of recession, pocket formation.A thorough clinical examination by the Dentist is required.
I would suggest you to go for professional scaling, polishing and curettage.
Take antiseptic mouthwash gargles.
Start with multivitamin suplements.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.

Take care.

Dentist Dr. Bindiya Bhaskar's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to HCM forum,

Cause of pain in tooth has to be evaluated and treated accordingly.

Get a thorough scaling done.

If there is periodontitis, bone grafting as well as root planning has to be done.

Decayed teeth causing pain has to be either root canal treated or extracted.

Get routine dental check up in every 6 months.

Maintain oral hygiene well.

Apply anaesthetic gel on the affected area.

Take care.
