Sharp Pain In Stomach, Blood In Stools. What Could This Be?

Hello, my name is Lauren and I am 19 years of age.

This has only happened about four times in the last couple of months but now I'm getting worried about it.

The four times it's happened:
I've had a sharp pain in my tummy which last about a minute so then I've gone to the toilet and done a poo.

Once I finished and wiped there was a small amount of blood on the tissue. I then checked the toilet and it is red with blood. I'm getting very worried now and was wondering if you had any ideas of what it could be what I can do?

hello , thanks for your query .
THe blood in your stools is probably suggestive of a acute / chronic anal fissure or Hemorrhoids . This is best diagnosed by getting a proctoscopy done . you can also do sitz bath thrice a day after every motion , use xylocaine ointment and take plenty of fluids and fibers in your diet .
The sharp pain in your stomach can be due irritable bowel syndrome .However it is best that you get an ultrasound abdomen .The pain can be relieved by painkillers .
Thank you
